E3 Sector Plans
There are 13 sectors that contributed to the E3 state plan including:
- Agriculture Education
- Business and Career and Technical Education
- Early Childhood
- Environmental Justice and Public Health
- Higher Education
- K-12 and Teacher Education
- Local Government and Utilities
- Media and Communications
- Nature and Outdoor Learning Centers
- State Agencies
- Tribal Education
- Youth & Students
- Zoos, Museums, Aquaria and Arboretums
In addition, a State Agency steering committee convened and held a summit that addressed all of the sectors above.
Each sector convened a series of meetings made up of diverse experts from across the state and completed a Lay of the Land sector assessment from which sector Goals/Strategy/Outcome documents were completed.
Sector plans can be found by going to the E3 Sectors in the Network Directory and selecting the sector/s of interest. There you will find the plan listed under “Sector Resources” along with updates about sector leaders, events and accomplishments.
Because the E3 plan is a “living plan”, sector leaders plans informed the state E3 plan and the state goals, in turn, have provided a framework for some of the sectors as they have worked to implement plan strategies. This iterative exchange is the hallmark of the E3 process and will continue through phases of implementation, tracking, measurement, adaptive management and plan revisions until a System of Education for Sustainable Communities is achieved.
