Location: Woods Creek Watershed, Monroe
Sponsored by: Snohomish Conservation District
Our orcas are endangered but it’s not too late! There is plenty we can do to save them. Orca Recovery Day is your opportunity to join with your local Conservation District and other partner organizations and work to recover our critically endangered Orca whales.
We will be returning to last year's Orca Recovery Day Event location in Monroe, where we will be planting native trees and shrubs in an area that was previously dense thickets of Himalayan blackberry along a salmon bearing waterway named Woods Creek. This will continue to restore this section of the creek and will connect years of restoration within the Woods Creek watershed.
