National Public Lands Day- Whitman Mission NHP

Every year, hundreds of thousands of people come together to celebrate and protect public lands across the country. Whitman Mission invites you to join the crowd on Saturday, September 21, 2019, by participating in National Public Lands Day!

Volunteers at Whitman Mission will continue ongoing efforts to remove invasive plants and restore native habitat on the hillside. Bring your family, friends, coworkers, or neighbors for a day outdoors caring for your public lands!

National Public Lands Day is an outdoor event! Volunteers should wear long pants and long sleeves that can get dirty, closed-toe shoes, and bring a water bottle. Bug spray, sunscreen, and a snack are also recommended.
