Climate Change and Its Impact on Wildfires-Spokane

Location: South Hill

Climate change is increasing the average wildfire season and fueling fires that burn more than twice the area it did in the early seventies. Join us for a firsthand look at this issue from a local firefighter. Kurtis Robinson is the current Spokane NAACP President and a Wildland Fire Fighter of 10 years. He has worked for the Department of Natural Resources, Spokane County Fire District 10, and is currently working as a fire contractor.

This is part of a climate change series at the South Hill Library in Fall 2019.
